It started off with both kids falling sick. D ran a temperature, A sneezing and coughing like an old lady!
Yet we managed to have a pretty decent celebration. It was a quiet, simple family BBQ with the grand parents joining in. The food turned out great and the weather was nice and cool.
D acknowledged his love for his dad by making him eggs for breakfast. OK, he didnt make them but helped me in the process. A kept saying 'laav u', 'laav u' to her father. She somehow sensed it was a special day and did her best to make it even more.
In the afternoon, father and son went for a movie - 'The Incredible Hulk'. Hubby dear wanted to see it and D although was excited about watching it with his dad was more interested in the popcorn and soda. Hubby dear told me that D actually got tired of it and kept asking him when it will be over. Anyway, later he volunteered to narrate the story to me and this is what he said:
There were three hulks, mama...
The good one
The bad one and a third one....
And that's me!
The end!
So out you go Spider man....
Happy father's day to all the wonderful dad's I know. And especially to you, sweetie for being the dad you are!
