The 'Bollywood' Effect

Bollywood surely has a way of capturing people's attention and interest. The latest to fall victim to it is my two year old. Thanks to Zee and Sony TV.

This morning, the first thing D says to us is 'Salaam-e-ishq', 'Ishq'. No good morning kiss, no hugs but a song from a Bollywood movie!

Speaking of Bollywood, we watched 'Guru' last night and was quite impressed with Abhishek Bachchan. He has definitely matured as an actor and does justice to his role as a struggling and later successful businessman. It is an 'OK' movie. I am sure it could have been better considering the director behind it. But definitely one of the better movies given the scores of useless ones that come out each year. Mithunda was a welcoming presence, surprisingly! And Madhavan and Vidya Balan (like both of them) added authenticity to their roles.

As our little film critic said, "Mama, G - O - R -U (cow??) was good!"
