Aspirations: Part II

D’s use of the phrase, ‘when I grow up’ is something we hear almost every ‘minute’ nowadays.

This morning, this is what he had to share with me as I am driving him to his day care:

D: “Mama, when I grow up, I will play basketball’
Me: “That’s great D! What else will you play?”
D: “Mama, when I grow up, I will play ball.”
Me: “OK, anything else?”
D: “Mama, when I grow up, I will play ball better.”
D: “And I will play Bob the Builder!” (Bob the Builder….Yes we can! Bob the Builder …..yes we can!)
