What could be nicer than...

...a beautiful lake surrounded by luscious green mountains, golden sands, kids squealing, gleefully floating in the water, building sand castles, hungrily gorging on mac n cheese and fried chicken, watching people, enjoying the company of loved ones, reveling in the beauty around and happily soaking in the sun.

Two days ago, we spent several hours at the lake in the Catoctin Mountains. Just like we did last June. Same place. Yet another memorable day. Everything fell into place. The weather was fantastic – partly cloudy, not too hot, the thunderstorms stayed away, there was a light breeze in the air, the place was not overly crowded, the temperature of the water just right, inviting.

We could'nt have asked for anything more. A perfect setting on a perfect day. Kids enjoyed so much that they came home crying-refusing to let go off the fun.

Alas! Summer is zipping past.
