And So The Wheels Came Off...

His confidence was lacking last weekend when I made Hubby Dear took off the training wheels. He almost gave up- he was frustrated he couldn't balance, he whined that he kept falling off, he lamented ‘mama, this is hard-put the wheels back on!

Yesterday, he reluctantly got on, struggled a bit in the beginning, just a tad bit. But once he got comfortable, figured it all out, there was no stopping him. He rode with a new confidence. A confidence of someone who has tasted success, someone who’s conquered. Realizing what he just accomplished, his face broke into a big, winning smile. It said it all- he was proud , jubilant. He rode until the stars came out showing off his mastery, his newly acquired skill.

Yes, D is now a big boy rider!

I remember, how my dad forced me to take off the wheels. If not for that, I would still be riding a tri-cycle! :-)
all the best to you and your little one-about to embark on a new chapter in his life!!!
