A’s name stands for ‘Noble’. She is indeed nobility, a princess. A daring, spunky, confident, tom-boyish little princess who turns two in exactly a month. Who is growing up too quickly to my chagrin but who brings me immense hope and optimism.
A, you are the daughter I always wanted. You are my pride, my joy, my strength. You are my inspiration and you make be want to be better parent. I hope you grow up to be a strong and independent woman. The world is your oyster, make the best of it. And remember, if you stumble or fall, just look over shoulder and I will be there!
I love you.
Mama
Here’s to you, sweetie… lines from two of my favorite songs, sung by strong women. Just for you.
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance I hope you dance
(I hope you Dance-Lee Ann Womack)
In my daughter's eyes, I am a hero
I am strong an' wise
And I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes
In my daughter's eyes
Everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
Gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes
(In my Daughter’s Eyes-Martina McBride)

Beauuutiful!
Lovely lines. They made me get all misty-eyed. Think I will pass them on to my mother. (And have a daughter super quick too!)
