A very special 'May 13'

TGIF!!! I just cannot tell you how glad I am that it’s Friday. Its been maddening the last couple of days, especially this past week!

The weather is supposed to be great on this Mother’s Day weekend. And this time it is a triple celebration with our anniversary and my mother in-law’s birthday, all on the same day!

7 years ago we said ‘I do’. Honestly it feels longer than 7 years. As if I have known my hubby for a lifetime. We have had quite an ‘uneventful’ marriage. Uneventful, in a good way. The love and respect we have for each other has grown deeper and stronger over the years. We communicate and understand each others needs, wants and expectations and we are blessed with two lovely, adorable kids. It has been a wonderful ride so far. Of course, we have had our share of ups and downs, disagreements and tiffs. Who is perfect, after all? But I can definitely say that we have had a happy marriage. We have managed to work through our differences and overcome them. It is about focusing and amplifying the positives, channelizing our energy towards a common objective and being grateful for what life has to offer.

So, happy anniversary to both of us!

A couple of years ago, I and whoever knew me, couldn't even fathom the idea of me being a wife and a mom. And now, here I am. A wife and a mother, who is absolutely enjoying motherhood! Having kids has changed my entire perspective and outlook towards life. I think I have become more tolerant, considerate and accepting of others and situations I experience. And of course, wiser!

I have always been a positive person and I think this positivity has helped me live life the way I do right now. And I hope it continues to help me discover the undefinable beauty, numerous opportunities and the many magical moments life still has in store for me.
