This season's first snow arrived last night making everything white and...... well, white! D, in his excitement kept saying, "Mama, it is snowing outside, let's make a snowman!".
I am not sure if I am happy or not to see the change in weather. For once, it didn't feel like winter the last few weeks. We definitely didn't have a 'white' Christmas last year. In fact, it was almost 60 degrees on Christmas day, fall like weather and I loved it! I was almost beginning to enjoy this freakish weather and for once was thankful until....
Not that I am deeply upset. I think we ought to have a snow day just for the sake of having one. Only one or may be two is all I can handle. For me to not start complaining about the weather. I somehow seem to have developed an aversion for winter over the years. I think it started with the 'Dilli thand' and got worse with the East Coast blast! And every year, as winter sets in with cold, dreary and gloomy days, my anti-winter feelings become stronger and stronger.
I can confidently say that out of all the seasons, that are so noticeable in this country, winter is not my 'thing'. I just cannot understand how some people enjoy the cold. I surely don't.
And as for D making a snowman. He will have to make one with help from his papa while his mama enjoys his creation from inside the house!
