It is really hard to get back into the 'work' mode after a long period of absence. I definitely enjoyed staying home with my newborn and wished my maternity leave was forever. Time does fly and 12 weeks just zipped past!
The time I spent with my baby girl was quite leisurely, although the first few weeks were spent re-adjusting being a mom all over again! I totally forgot how tiny babies are and had a tough time getting used to my little one's size. I look at my two year old now and can't imagine how grown he looks in comparison although he too is still a baby!
Life has been pretty good to me. Few years ago, I couldn't possibly imagine myself as a mom but now that I am, I think I doing quite a good job. I do need to work on my patience but for the most part, I think, I am handling motherhood pretty well. And of course, thanks to my hubby dear for his share of work. Without his help and support, parenting would have been a different ball game all together.
Speaking of parenting, I commend all single parents out there for their courage and brevity. You surely have a ton of guts and determination. I can definitely learn a lesson or two from you!
