D spent a day at his grandparents over the weekend. We made him take his activity book so that he can work on a few sums and write his numbers and alphabets. Something he reluctantly agreed to.
Mama, I did my activities, he said proudly upon his return, opening his binder to show me his completed work.
Well, he did his activities but I noticed that my mother-in-law penciled in the last few numbers for him.
When I inquired about that, he lowered his head and nodded.
Why D? Why didn’t you write them yourself? I asked, sounding disappointed in my tone.
Mama, I couldn’t. My brain asked me to stop writing. It was tired. So I asked Aita to help me out.
