Another Milestone

D is on a roll with his reading skills. And as a mom, I am brimming with pride, so much so that one can actually tell that the weight of the pride-full heart is almost crushing me. For some reason, out of the many anticipatory milestones, this one is the best. It's just wonderful to hear the little voice form sounds, connect the letters and voila! out comes a word and the minute it plops out of the tiny mouth, the sweet boyish face breaks into a thousand watt smile lighting up the room not only with its sparkle but with confidence that accompanies it.
